What makes you a candidate for Wisdom Teeth Removal?
With the help of an exam and dental x-rays, we can determine if your wisdom teeth are impacted or aren’t able to come through the gums fully. We will then suggest to you if they should come out and what to expect once you have been scheduled for an appointment. Sedation can help to make your appointment easier and we can discuss your options during the consultation appointment. Most people who have impacted wisdom teeth or only partially erupted third molars are good candidates for the procedure.
What happens during Wisdom Teeth Removal?
Sedation is administered as per your request. We then create a small incision through the gums. The wisdom teeth will then be removed from underneath the gums and sutures used to close the tissue. If the wisdom teeth are already through the gums, an incision may not be necessary. You will be sent home with important aftercare instructions. If you experience any post-op complications, it is important to call our office and come in.
